What You Can Expect At Your First Visit
Our Staff
W. F. Howard, M.D., is a board certified Reproductive Endocrinologist with more than 20 years of experience in Dallas and California. He is active in the American Fertility Society and the Society of Assisted Reproductive Technology.

Our Philosophy
We believe that the healthcare needs of our patients are as individual as are our patients themselves. We are committed to providing compassionate care, utilizing the most advanced technology and innovative techniques available. We want our patients to be active members of the healthcare team, and encourage you to ask questions about your own diagnosis and treatment options.

  1. Investigate - We do our homework! After studying all that is already known about you, we perform the indicated testing so that treatment can be comprehensive.
  2. Educate - We figure you have a brain!!! From the first visit we educate you about your problems. You are a member of the team and you should know as much as possible to be a good team member.
  3. Aggressively Treat - If you have a fertility problem, we believe you come to us anxious to be pregnant as soon as possible. On the other hand, you are probably not made of money. Therefore our aggression must be tempered with appropriate reason. If you come with another problem, e.g. pelvic pain, we know you want the problem resolved quickly and we proceed accordingly.
  4. Keep the Heart In It - You are a person, not a number. Our whole staff is dedicated to treating you as a person with feelings - frustration, anger, anxiety, guilt - to name a few. We cannot afford to forget that.

What You Can Expect
At Your First Visit

You will have a visit with Dr. Howard. We will take your history first. If your medical records have been sent to us, Dr. Howard will have studied them, culled the important information from them and will use them as a base for getting the complete history. He will also do considerable teaching as appropriate.

Finally, if you are a fertility couple, Dr. Howard will design a plan with the goal of a "take-home baby" for you as soon as possible. The visit could take an hour or more depending on the complexity of your situation.
